Ocean Song

Somewhere in my past the ocean song crept in.
It's found its way into my veins and into my heartbeat.

As summer rolls along into autumn and winter and spring and summer again, the sound of the wind along a rocky beach somewhere and the waves lapping at the land continue there call, and visions of the cliff faces spring up in my mind's eye.

"Come home, come home
Lay among the wildflowers
Swim in the waters
Sing the song of a thousand years
The song this land has sung
Century upon century"
